日本語も上手で慶誠高校のみんなに愛されていた留学生のアリーシャ、7/19(金）の終業式をもって慶誠高校での生活が最後となりました。彼女の本校でのラスト1カ月の様子を振り返ります。
Exchange student Alysha, loved by everyone at Keisei High School and fluent in Japanese, is finally leaving Kumamoto!
7/11(木) 日本語学習会も最後となりました。大学生の方々に日本語を教えて貰ったり、様々なアクティビティ等をしたり、アリーシャや留学生にとってたくさんの学びと発見がある学習会です。アリーシャがいなくなると思うと、、、これからちょっと寂しくなります。。
The Japanese language study session for exchange students on July 11th was the last day. Everyone always seemed to enjoy learning Japanese. It’s going to feel a bit lonely from now on.
7/13(土)に福岡で行われたシンクロナイズドスイミングのジュニアオリンピック九州大会にフリーの演技として出場しました。なんと、水着の刺繡は全てアリーシャのお手製とのこと。素敵な水着に身を包み、素敵な演技で皆さんを魅了したことでしょう。
On Saturday, July 13th, Arisha participated in the Junior Olympic Kyushu Synchronized Swimming Competition held in Fukuoka, performing her freestyle routine. Remarkably, all the embroidery on her swimsuit was handmade by Alysha herself. Dressed in her beautiful swimsuit, she surely captivated everyone with her wonderful performance.
クラスのみんなとトランプも楽しみました。日本で覚えたトランプゲームオーストラリアでも広めてね！
They had good time playing cards with everyone in the class. Be sure to spread the card games you learned in Japan when you go back to Australia!
今年の春、オーストラリアを訪問した慶誠高校2年生4名と記念写真。中にはアリーシャ家にホームステイした生徒も！次はオーストラリアと日本、どこで会えるかな？と再会を約束している様子でした。
They took a commemorative photo with four second-year students from Keisei High School who visited Australia this spring. They surely promised to meet again.
7/26（金） 終業式の放送で全校生徒に向けてメッセージを伝えるアリーシャ、3ヶ月間の溢れる思いが込められていました。「また、絶対熊本に、慶誠高校に帰って来ます。さよならの代わりにこう言いたいです。皆さん、また会いましょう。オーストラリアにも遊びに来てね。」と締めくくりました。
On July 26th, Alysha delivered a message to all Keisei High School students during the closing ceremony broadcast. Her words were filled with emotions from the past three months. She concluded with, “I will definitely return to Kumamoto and Keisei High School. Instead of saying goodbye, I want to say this: Everyone, let’s meet again. Please come visit me in Australia too.”
終業式の日、理事長先生、校長先生と記念写真、いつも暖かく優しい眼差しで応援してくださった、理事長先生、校長先生ありがとうございました。
Alysha took a commemorative photo with the Chairman and the Principal on the day of the closing ceremony. Thank you, Chairman and Principal, for always supporting her with your warm and kind eyes.
クラスのみんなと過ごす最後のHR、アリーシャのお別れ会をしてくれました。一人ひとりからのメッセージがあり、クラスからの記念のプレゼントが送られました。担任の原先生からは名前入りのお箸、クラス皆からのメッセージ入りのTシャツのプレゼントが！クラスメイト全員と握手をした後、クラス記念写真をパシャリ。留学生活初日から温かく迎えてくれた2年1組のみんな、そして原先生。これまでほとんど泣いたことがないというアリーシャの目には光るものが…
During the last homeroom session with her class, Ms. Hara, her homeroom teacher held a farewell party for her. Each classmates gave a message, and the class gave her some gifts. Mr. Hara, her homeroom teacher, gave her personalized chopsticks, and the class gave her an album of her class memories and a T-shirt with messages from everyone. After shaking hands with all her classmates, they took a class photo together. For someone who rarely cried, there was a glimmer in Arisha’s eyes…
7/26(金）熊本出発の日お世話になったホストファミリー、アドバイザーの樋口先生。アリーシャ楽しい日々をありがとう！アリーシャのこれからの活躍を祈っています。いつでも待っているから、慶誠高校に遊びにきてね。また会う日まで！
On July 26th, the day of departure from Kumamoto, with her host family who took care of her, Ms. Higuchi and Charlie. She is like a real older sister … See you later, Alysha!
