リハーサル日… ～All-Day Rehearsal Day～

5/20。この日は、終日リハーサル日でした。朝からはバンドルームで合同演奏の確認を行いました。こちらでは、授業の中で吹奏楽、マーチング、ジャズバンド、オーケストラなどが行われています。普段、放課後に練習をしている私たちからすると、とても新鮮な環境でした。

This day was dedicated entirely to rehearsals. In the morning, we practiced the joint performance in the band room. At this school, students can take classes in concert band, marching band, jazz band, and orchestra. For us, who usually practice after school, it was a very refreshing and new experience to see music being practiced as part of regular classes.
午後は、図書室をお借りして自習をしました。各自、自身で計画をして学習に取り組みました。図書室には、さまざまな本が置いてありましたが、印象的だったのは【MANGA】。日本の超有名作品が並べて置いてありました♪
In the afternoon, we studied on our own in the library. Each of us made our own study plans and worked independently. The library had a wide variety of books, but what stood out the most was the “MANGA” section. Some of Japan’s most famous titles were lined up on the shelves♪
夕方には一旦、ホストファミリー宅に帰宅をして、夕食をとりました。
そして、夕食後は学校に戻り、学校の施設であるスタジアムでコンサートの練習を行いました。学校には、フットボールスタジアムが常設されており、規模の大きさを感じました。また、こちらは午後9時過ぎまで普通に明るいことにとても驚きました。気温は一桁代でしたが、現地の人は短パンに半袖姿という人もたくさんいて、とても過ごしやすい気候だそうです…
After dinner, we went back to school and practiced for the concert at the stadium. We were amazed by the size of the school’s football stadium and how bright it was even after 9 p.m. Though the temperature was below 10°C, many locals wore shorts and T-shirts—it seems like a comfortable climate for them!
