約6時間のバス移動…いよいよグランツパスへ～6 Hours to finally Grants Pass～

5/18(日)。ホテルのロビーを出たら、映画でよく見るあの黄色いスクールバスが停まっていました。現実に存在するのですね…（笑）バスにみんなで乗り込み、今回の研修の最大の目的でもあるグランツパスへ大移動スタートです。

Sunday, May 18, when we stepped out of the hotel lobby, we saw a bright yellow school bus — just like in the movies! We all got on board and started our long journey to Grants Pass, the main destination of our trip.

ロングランでしたので、途中何度も休憩をはさみ現地時間15時過ぎにグランツパス高校へ到着しました。高校の前に行くと、今回お世話になるホストファミリーの皆さんがウェルカムボードを持って待ってくれていました。昨日、ポートランドで感動の再会をしたメンバーもたくさんいましたが、この場で再会したメンバーもおり、これもまた感動の瞬間でした。バスから降りると早速自分自身がお世話になるホストファミリーのところに向かいましたが、表情はちょっと緊張の面持ち…。

Since it was a long trip, we took several breaks along the way and finally arrived at Grants Pass High School just after 3 PM local time.

When we reached the front of the school, our host families were waiting for us with welcome signs. Many of the members we had an emotional reunion with in Portland yesterday were there again, and some new reunions happened on the spot — another moving moment for all of us.

As we got off the bus, everyone headed straight to meet their own host families. I felt a bit nervous but excited at the same time.
